It can be hard to get to know your neighbors who live in nearby Arlington homes these days. Everyone is busy with work, social and business commitments and school events, and once you’re back at your Arlington home, if you’re like most of us, you just want to relax with your family.
On Saturday, May 11th, the Arlington Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting Neighborhood Day with lots of events so you can get to know the people who live in Arlington homes near yours.
Gather up your family and head to Alcova Heights Park at 901 South George Mason Drive for Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet your neighbors who live in Arlington at this free day of games, crafts, and reptiles! The kids living in your Arlington home won’t want to miss Raging Reptiles at 11 a.m. where they can meet live snakes and amphibians. They can also create neat projects to take back to your Arlington home, jump in the bounce houses, or get their faces painted. Don’t worry about making lunch at your Arlington home, as a hot dog lunch will be available for $3 a person, and includes a bag of chips and a drink.
It’s going to be a great Saturday at the park getting to know your neighbors if you live in Arlington!
