Northern Virginia Home to Walkers!

Northern Virginia Home to Kidney WalkAttention walkers who call Northern Virginia home! This Sunday, April 21st, the National Kidney Foundation will host its Northern Virginia Kidney Walk. Come to the Reston Town Center in Reston, Virginia at 2 p.m. and bring your family and participate in this great fundraiser to help people suffering from chronic kidney disease.

There is no fee to register, although all walkers are encouraged to raise funds for the National Kidney Foundation’s programs and services, including free community screenings, patient services, and education. Walkers who raise $20 will receive a cupcake from Red Velvet Cupcakery. More prizes will be given for higher levels of fundraising. Raising funds is easy with the Kidney Walk’s online system, allowing friends and family who do not live in Northern Virginia to contribute, too!

More than 26 million Americans have chronic kidney disease. That’s 1 in 9 adults. Many are not aware of it. The National Kidney Foundation is dedicated to early detection and prevention of kidney disease. You probably know someone affected by kidney disease. This walk is so close to your Northern Virginia home. Be a part of the movement to keep the kidneys of Americans healthy! For more information, visit the Kidney Foundation to learn more!
