Live in Reston and Run For Kids

Run for Kids if you live in RestonIf you live in Reston, here’s a great opportunity to be a champion for children! Lace up for the Champions4Children 5K Race/Walk and 1/2 mile Fun Run for kids. The race takes place on Saturday, April 13th at 9 a.m. in the beautiful Lake Fairfax Park, located at 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive, near your Reston home.

Participate in this statewide event to end child abuse and support victims of violence. It’s so close to your Reston home and can make such a difference! The Race/Walk is sponsored by Children’s Advocacy Centers of Virginia (CACVA) in conjunction with local Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC). Together, they work to support child victims of abuse in their journeys to recovery.

By supporting the Champions4Children Race/Walk with your registration fee of $20, you help bring these excellent services to Virginia children not currently being served by CACs. CACVA and CACs work together to coordinate services for victims and non-offending family members, which both reduces the trauma experienced by children in the system and cuts down on costs versus the usual non-team approach.

Join with your family and friends living in Reston for a fun morning of racing and walking in a beautiful setting and help raise funds for a new center to assist children who have been neglected and abused.
