The Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, near your Northern Virginia home, is offering plenty to keep you and your family occupied in the coming weeks. With the latest Art in Public Spaces exhibit, you can experience the “Joys of the Season,” through January 20th. An all-media exhibit featuring Luray Schaffner, John Schaffner, Jennifer Brewer Stone, E.E. McCollum and Rosemary Luckett portrays how each of these artists connect to winter. As part of the theme, the center will be collecting glove and mittens to donate to the Child and Family Network Center in Alexandria, to be given to children who live in Northern Virginia.
The Center is located at 105 N. Union Street and the exhibit is on the second floor, in Site 2 Gallery. To learn more about other events, such as ornament displays, occurring in the more than 82 artist studios at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, please call 703.838.4565.
